I’d also like to make it clear that the self made “USB” connection cables that are supplied with the phone are crap too. Crap to the point that you’ll bust (Fu*k it, break it, c*ck it) it phone in 15 mins.

Bagged myself a nice LG KC550 at the begining of the week, and thus a review is in order.

Good Points:
5.0 mega pixel camera
Brilliant video recording at 30 fps
Fantastic games (M-Toy-move-the-hand-set-wii-type collection)
Photo viewing is brilliant - tilt the handset and the image rotates
Very solid construction
Font that has “Apple” written all over it - great for confusing Apple fan-boys

Bad Points:
Browser is shite, and costly
Browser is very, very graphic intensive - no difference between normal and optimised viewing (it burnt through £5 of credit today alone by not doing f**k all - see above)
Browser decides when it will/will not store a cookie (see above)
Browser connects to GPRS and then decides if it wants to display a page when connected, rather than bombing out a-la my Nokia 6300
Text messaging is a pain - might just be becuase I’m used to the Nokia way
Text messaging (again) - even on smallest font, a simple message takes up 7 lines.
Text messaging (and again) - the delivery / read reports are all in one, making you read 2 messages once one is delivered
Didn’t come with the TV Out Cable - this is supplied elsewhere in the EMEA region, but not here
Didn’t come with an expansion card (My Nokia 6300 have a free 1GB Micro SD card)
Can’t adjust the standby screen hotkeys - if it’s in your pocket you can accidently hit the “Virgin” button and dial up via GPRS.
Not touchscreen
No support on the website - For a new product, it’s an arse trying to get any support details on it. Apprently, it doesn’t exisit on the LG website.

All in all - Craaaaap!
